Your tasks

  • Toxicological / Biological evaluation of Medical devices in the framework of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR), ISO 10993-series and other relevant regulatory guidelines/requirements
  • Development of biological evaluation strategies
  • Searching for relevant literature and evaluation of toxicological studies and publications for critical human health effects
  • Preparation of toxicological risk assessments for medical devices, based on the used raw materials, on extractable and leachable chemicals or on biocompatibility studies
  • Assurance of high quality within projects (i.e. reports, expert statements, correspondence, quotations)
  • Communication and close co-operation with other knoell expert teams
  • Communication and close co-operation with our clients

Your qualifications

  • University degree preferably in toxicology, biology or a related field
  • DGPT courses in toxicology or equivalent toxicological qualifications would be an asset
  • Experience in medical device toxicology would be an asset
  • Knowledge of risk assessment process and of in vivo and in vitro methods for safety / toxicology assessment would be an asset
  • Strong motivation and ability to communicate in a multinational environment
  • Ability to work in a team and self-motivated
  • Service oriented personality and attitude
  • Quick learner, able to react to new challenges
  • Very good language skills in English and German (spoken and written); additional language skills would be an asset
