Your tasks

  • Work closely with the German Senior Haemophilia Team as well as with the National Sales Manager to identify pricing and positioning opportunities as well as threats for the haemophilia franchise products

  • Strong collaboration with finance, sales and patient access to manage new pricing and reimbursement offers and the impact from a finance and budgeting perspective

  • Proactively track key sick fund administration processes and changes in regulation

  • Initiation and coordination of internal approval processes of new pricing strategy proposals

  • Liase between the General Manager, the Patient Access Director, Finance and Commercial

  • Produce and analyze contract/payer specific reports

  • Develop innovative pricing and reimbursement strategies with statutory and private health insurances and lead these negotiations

  • Negotiate with hospital pharmacies and procurements on inpatient use of the company's haemophilia franchise products

  • Develop consultative relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders and leverage the company as the preferred partner for innovative contracting models

  • Identify national and regional authorities with responsibility for the pricing and reimbursement of existing and new products

  • Engage appropriately with such bodies together with the Director Patient Access to understand requirements and support for optimal pricing and reimbursement

  • Optimize regular reporting at regional and national level to ensure consistent measurement of success and communication of key issue

  • Liase with Marketing and Patient Access to drive materials, fact sheets, cost calculators and other selling tools

  • Establish strong and reliable and regular relation with relevant treaters and hospital functions and convey the company's image and values, coordinating with medical and commercial teams

Your qualifications

  • University degree in science, politics, health economics or healthcare management
  • At least 7-10 years of professional experience in a healthcare or healthcare related business environment, ideally in an international company
  • 3+ years experience and a strong negotiation track record with payers
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build sustainable relationships with sick funds, hospital management, procurements and other regional bodies
  • Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to work under tight time constraints and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Confident personal presence and experience managing complex negotiations

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written, German and English)

  • Ability and skill to work effectively with executive management and other leadership teams

  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment with diverse groups/function, overseeing complex programs and teams

  • Strategic and results oriented

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
