Key Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with the German Oncology Medical Affairs function the candidate will be fully responsible for the execution of the regional Oncology medical plan
  • Presentation of scientific and clinical data for the relevant products
  • Use of scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of settings
  • Response of clinical inquiries relating to marketed or developmental products

  • Identification and development of regional and national opinion leaders to support the products through personal contacts and on-site visits

  • Perceiving appointments abroad as meetings and conferences on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally with short notice

  • Development of  a network with opinion leaders, clinical investigators and health care providers at academic and non-academic institutions

  • Assisting through collaboration with investigators, Clinical Operations and clinical trials

  • Assuming responsibility for regional Medical Education initiatives

  • Anticipating difficulties that may arise in the field and resolving them in a collaborative manner

  • Working collaboratively with other specialist departments, such as Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance and the international Medical Affairs organization

Requirements

  • A degree in a scientific discipline and relevant experience in a medically related function is required
  • Advanced degrees such as PharmD, MD, PhD are preferred
  • Preferably experience in the industry or prior experience in a Medical Affairs function and experience in oncology business
  • Responsible for regulatory requirements and the relevant code of conduct
  • Must be committed to continuing education to maintain knowledge base
  • Ability to work as a member of several teams that may overlap such as national Medical Scientist team, regional sales team, international Medical Affairs team
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations is required as well as experience in the management or investigation of clinical trials is desirable
  • Required are excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Excellent english skills
