your tasks

Under the direction of the Medical Director Germany, the Specialist Medical Affairs is responsible for delivering

  • Accurate scientific data concerning approved products/brands (in and off label) and products in development
  • Information to the respective disease areas
  • Product specific trainings and development, review and sign off of local educational and promotional material for his/her brand
  • Development of programs and materials that support key product messages, based on medical and scientific data for both internal and external customers in close cooperation with the respective disease team and the commercial team
  • Development of science-based information materials
  • Input to Press Releases with medical content
  • Local Medical and Scientific materials and programs
  • Works with marketing and sales to ensure prioritization of key publications and strategies
  • Development of future Communication Plans
  • Oversight of drug development of key competitors

Your qualifications

  • Scientific degree, ideally further qualification such as PhD
  • MD or PhD in biosciences, preferably with experience in hematology, oncology or with a broad medical background
  • MD or PhD with clinical and scientific experience in hematology is an advantage
  • Being familiar with translating scientific or clinical data into compelling messages to help physicians best serve their patients
  • Being able to communicate scientific and/or clinical data to research, healthcare professionals and payors
  • Being able to develop peer-to-peer relationships with top-ranking physicians, scientists or other healthcare professionals
  • Being able to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments
  • Knowledge in disease area including key scientific publications
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
  • Extensive Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to manage complex communication issues and to establish lasting and stably working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Can work within a team and also independently
  • Excellent German and English language skills, spoken and written
  • Flexibility
